A friendly local spot for great seafood. Best seafood chowder I've ever had. Consistently good quality over the 5 years I have been coming here. Atmosphere is funky, ecclectic and unique.
Great food! The clam chowder was delicious and super creamy. Also ordered haddock & fries, which were fresh, tasty, & crisp. Best meal we've had in Maine! We went before the dinner rush so we had the dining room to ourselves.
The Happy Crab was the first restaurant my husband and I went to, upon moving to Eastport. We love the atmosphere, awesome staff and owners, and the food is pretty sweet, too. We had a visit a few months ago that was not good. I wrote a review saying as much, and we've been going elsewhere for our weekly date nights. This weekend, one of the owners approached us and was so kind and determined to make things right. We went yesterday and had some damn good chicken sandwiches and drinks, along with awesome service. We'll be back for more date nights.
This is a festive port side restaurant in Eastport. The restaurant features dollar bills hanging from the ceilings and walls. While not unique, it is impressive just how many the restaurant has on display.
There is a lot of fried food, so if that is your taste you will likely enjoy this venue. Service as friendly and quick and they offer several different beers on tap. It is also a good place if you enjoy friend clams. Very casual and fun atmosphere with some outside seating.
The food & drinks were okay, nothing special. On their website they advertise different boozy milkshakes. When I asked about them the waitress said they no longer make them, which was disappointing. Kind of a weird vibe, wasn’t very welcoming. Our server was kind and timely which I appreciated.
Terrible service. 2 wait staff and 1 of them was the cook. Overcrowded, rooms swarming with flies and mosquitoes. Food mediocre. We waited 45 minutes to be offered a menu after being seated. Another half hour before ordering and another 45 minutes before being served. Do not recommend.
Main entrance is not clearly marked, so my boyfriend and I entered 3 different doors before giving up and just asking the bartender about being seated. She told us to sit anywhere, and every open table was dirty. 10 minutes after sitting at a dirty table, a waitress came by and slapped menus down onto the unwiped table. We ordered our food and beers, received our drinks in a timely manner, but can’t say the same about our food. 75 minutes for a lobster roll and a bowl of soup. Really. Told us they were out of poutine as well. Good atmosphere, beautiful view outside, but the subpar service and just decent food unfortunately won’t call us back.
Went on here on a wimb, ended up loving this place like no other. Food came out fresh hot perfect sizing. Excellent talk with the tall chefs and the waitresses, all great personalities, will definitely come back again! Recommend for all!
